Maya wore a bespoke Rolando Santana gown, her make-up was created by Patrick Ta, who has worked with the Kardashians, and photography was by Donna Newman, whose customers range from Oscar winner Matt Damon to First Lady of the US Michelle Obama. A team of 150, headed by New York social event planner David Monn, masterminded every detail at the party at the 55,000 square foot facility constructed to house the party at six flags over Texas.in San Antonio, including 30-foot tall cherry trees in full blossom. A Garden room complete with walls of roses, flowing fountains and 30foot tall cherry blossom and a main ballroom bursting with oversized planters overflowing with fresh Peonies, rows of swanky lounge furniture and dazzling flutters of butterflies suspended from the deiling. Maya Henry's name is fast becoming synonymous with philanthropy and community engagement. Following in the footsteps of her father, lawyer Thomas J Henry, she has worked with several charities including the San Antonio YES Foundation, which helps distribute school supplies to children in need. In 2010, at the age of nine, she launched Maya's Corner, an endeavor to promote and assist causes benefitting children. And she is also putting her high profile social media presence behind Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton's campaign. Using the hashtag #teensforhillary, Maya hopes to mobilize her thousands of Instagram followers to support the Clinton campaign and to bring awareness to issues involving female empowerment and opportunities for Latina America women The unforgettable private event was attended by 600 including many of San Antonio's social and cultural elite, who rejoiced with Maya and her family in the celebration of her Mexican heritage, commitment to family, friends, tradition, and community. Although only a freshman in high school, the young San Antonio socialite has already positioned herself as a regular on the Texas Tennis Championship circuit. She/Her proud father said: Maya is a smart, driven, outstanding young woman. She has already worked so hard to get where she is with her studies, tennis and activism.
